About Us

     Phoenix Club began as a concept where all people from all modalities of the BDSM fetish and lifestyle could come together in friendship and explore their inner feelings safely and comfortably. Here you will find a diverse group of people who share the same desire to practice and learn in an environment that promotes continuing education and doing so in a SAFE, SANE AND CONSENSUAL manner.  We strive to bring you speakers who have special talents in relation to those special desires you have, and to offer workshops after presentations to let you practice your new skills in a comfortable and fun way. Phoenix Club operates solely with volunteers who are dedicated to bringing you the best in entertainment, education and one of the safest places to play.

Are you new to the lifestyle? Have questions? Want to meet a safe Dom or subbie instead of an internet wannabe? We have a program to introduce you to members of the community and help you learn about all the wonderful paths that lay before you! It’s called The Gateway Program. Gateway is a confidential and safe way to find answers to many of your questions in a safe and secure setting. We can come to you, or meet you in a comfortable place. We try to give you the tools to make better and more informed safe choices. Then, when you are ready, we will admit you to full membership and wish you well. What we do NOT do is try and tell you the RIGHT way to be a Dom or sub. We do not try to give anyone a sense that they have to pass our rules or tests to enter the world of BDSM. No one can do that. There is no such thing as a Dom or Sub School where you get your diploma and thus are certified. There is only one purpose for Gateway; to give a new person the best information available to ensure their safety while they explore their inner feelings. Too many times we have heard horror stories about some who was raped or worse while exploring the nuances of our lifestyle. Most were in this position because they were under the impression that they had to obey the "Master" they just met. LISTEN to your little voice. If it says run, RUN!! We are here to answer as many questions as we can to help you remain safe. THAT is the purpose of the Gateway Program. Nothing more.

Your security and peace of mind is important to the staff at Phoenix. Our application process is designed to weed out problems and try to ensure that our members are protected. Thus, providing you with a secure and safe place to enjoy.

Update:  How to Join The Phoenix Club
     
     Tampa Bay Phoenix Club is a private membership club. We are NOT open to the general public. So, how do you join? To ensure privacy and security for our members, attempt to screen out those who simply do not belong in our midst, such as vanillas who simply want to gawk or people trying to write a school paper and/or take unrestricted photos. To that end, we want to know a little about you when you come in. Please bring a photo ID and be prepared to be asked about your past affliations with other clubs. We will ask for names of people who can vouch for you. If you live out of town, we will need to check your local clubs or references. Please call ahead to speed up your entry to the club. We also offer a one time guest fee is $25.00 per person for anyone whose references can be verified. We are aware this may create some roadblocks for people who are new to the lifestyle.  Relax, we do our best to make it fairly easy to get your membership.

If you are new to the lifestyle, we highly recommend attending one of the many local munches.  There are some clubs open to the public, that will give you some insite into what you are getting into, and, of course, there is our Gateway Program.  
   
   Also you can call us and we can talk about any concerns or questions you may have.  Our goal is to provide everyone with the best experience possible when entering the lifestyle and make it fun too!
