RESULTS FROM THE DECEMBER 5th. VOTING INCLUDING THE ONLINE VOTES.


The votes collected online were only 2 votes.

Mandatory Gateway Program attendance before admittance:
The results were 1 FOR and 1 AGAINST mandatory Gateway attendance. Result: None. Votes cancelled each other out. As the Dec 5th vote was 15 AGAINST and 10 FOR keeping the Gateway Program voluntary. So, the outcome remains the same and unchanged.  Gateway attendance is voluntary.

Lower the age to 18:  The results were 2 votes FOR.  As the December 5th vote was 21 FOR and 10 AGAINST.  The outcome increased the count to 23 FOR.  Minimum age for Phoenix Club events is now 18 years of age.

Roberts Rules of Order:  The results were 2 FOR keeping RROO.  The December 5th meeting vote was 1 FOR and 34 AGAINST.  The outcome is that Roberts Rules of Order is no longer in effect for how Phoenix Club conducts business.  The 2 online votes made no difference.

In summary, everything remains the same. 

However, considering that the voting process consumed all the time allocated for the meeting,  and then ran 30 minutes over, there was no time left to discuss other important issues.  We never discussed the financial status, ideas from members for the club etc. 

We are working on ideas to keep this from happening again as we feel the other issues were just as important for the members input also.  As always, we would like to hear from you any ideas you might have that makes the process better.
